Where do I find the best-by date on your packages?

Where do I find the UPC code?

The 12-digit UPC is located under the barcode where the product is scanned at the store during purchase.

Are your packages recyclable?

Our stand-up resealable bags are not recyclable due to the material we use to help maintain product freshness. As a company, we employ many procedures aiming to protect the environment in multiple ways. We stay committed by conserving energy and focusing on waste and energy reduction throughout all of our facilities.

Are your products gluten-free?

Orchard Valley Harvest recognizes sources of gluten as defined by the FDA: wheat, rye, barley, and their crossbred hybrids, like triticale. Although some of our products do not contain gluten, they may be produced on the same lines as our products that do contain gluten. Our production lines are cleaned between batches; however, some cross-contamination may occur. Individuals who are extremely sensitive may be affected.

Do Orchard Valley Harvest walnuts have omega-3s?

Yes, walnuts naturally contain ALA omega-3s (alpha-linolenic acid, a plant-based polyunsaturated fat).

Does your facility contain milk allergens?

Milk is one of the allergens in our plant. This includes casein and whey. Nuts may be run on shared equipment with these milk products.

Are your products non-GMO?

All Orchard Valley Harvest products are Non-GMO Project Verified.

What should I do if a store sold me an expired product?

If you purchase any of our products from a retailer or wholesaler and the product is past the best-by date, we recommend that you return or exchange the expired product directly at the location where it was purchased.

What is the shelf life of your products?

We can only guarantee the freshness of our products up to the best-by date. This date is used as a guideline for our consumers and as a point of reference for our records.

Can consumers order products directly from your company?

Yes, you have an option to purchase directly from us at a one-case minimum. For pricing and shipping information or to place an order, please call the Company Store at (847) 214-4400, available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Central Time. Holiday and special occasion gifts are available.

Your package indicates that your nuts are processed in the United States. Are they grown in the United States?

Our nuts are grown in the United States unless stated otherwise on the label. Nuts grown in other countries, per current regulations, require the Country of Origin Labeling.
